I Didn't Film This

Picture
As an event coordinator, video producer, web & app designer, marketer, and most importantly, an entrepreneur, I believe I can help create a better atmosphere for guests of your region. An Ohio native and frequent traveler, I arrived in Boothbay Harbor June 1st. This has given me time to familiarize myself with the area, the committees, and the guests before creating my role in the area's growth. I appreciate the time taken to review my information, and look forward to discussing future opportunities soon.

Thanks, and Have a Happy Today

Boothbay Harbor Tourism
In order to increase the value of experiences that visitors have in the Boothbay Harbor region, it is important to understand the community goals and the value of each guest into the region.

Potential Goals:
  • Increase visitors to Boothbay
    • What is the target market?
    • When do you need increased guests?
    • Does having increased guests devalue the region?
  • Increase guest spending while in Boothbay
    • Are there specific vendors to focus on?
    • Do your guests prefer spending on things or experiences?
    • Does increased spending devalue the region?
  • Increase guest satisfaction while in Boothbay
    • Which guest is primary focus?
      • Generally speaking (kids vs adults) and specific VIP guests
    • What satisfies guests the most?
  • Increase guest loyalty to Boothbay
    • How often will guests potentially visit? (once a week, once a year)
    • What is the impact of a loyal guest on referrals?
Once the value of a guest and the goals are identified, it will be easier to create a plan and a budget for increasing the region's value.

Some notes on achieving goals:
  • Balance of human interaction and technology.
  • Balance of media production and guest privacy.
  • Balance of corporate sponsorships and avoiding commercialism.
The video below does a decent job of explaining a tourist engagement process similar to what I envision.
